The Beginning

It all started back in July of 2019, where I had the pleasure of photographing Ami and Mark’s wedding elopement. It was every bit of fun and beautiful – just like them.

Ami and Mark are high school sweethearts that still have that ‘crazy in love’ look in their eyes. A kind of love that I caught right from the moment I met them. So very special.

The Elopement

The couple eloped for their big day to the Durham County Treehouse + Cabin Retreat. The day was pure organic – nothing was staged or forced. I just sat back and watched them dance, eat wings, swing in hammocks and celebrate their years of love to come. All while at the most epic elopement location I have ever seen.

Fast forward two years, Ami reached out to me to inquire about some Maternity photos. I was giddy at the thought of having these two back in front of my camera. So naturally, I snuck them out into my favourite country field in the Kawartha Lakes and we captured their Maternity Session.

The Bump

I took full advantage of the perfect setting, this stunning couple and pulled out some Maternity Session ideas that had been floating around in my head…

Maternity photos with linen sheets in a field and linen draped over a baby bump.

And a couple more maternity photos in a wheat field and bump silhouette photos in an open field.

Then we hit the setting sun scene with a moody maternity vibe, threw on a lace gown and captured that beauty bump.

All of my photo dreams came true…and then some!

As always, the best part about capturing their shoot was sitting back and watching them once again, giggle and laugh like new love. But this time, with a growing baby bump mixed in!

A session that felt natural and energetic, just straight up baby belly and true love. A simple, yet creative little Maternity Session that any photographer could ask for.

And then there were three…

Hit that fast forward button again, and Ami and Mark welcomed a sweet little girl to their world. And how lucky am I to have capture those tiny little fingers and toes wrapped up with the biggest hearts. Watching them as new parents was just heart melting and so very natural. I cannot wait to watch their family continue to grow together!
